Sinus or nasal debridement involves the removal of bone, mucosa, crust and debris following sinus surgery.
Doing so helps promote healing and restore sinus function, while preventing infection from recurring. The surgeon uses an endoscope inserted through the nostril or will make an incision through your skin or gums to complete the procedure, which usually takes 1–3 hours.
